Linda Pierce, ASBA
Biographical Notes

Art has been a life-long passion with Linda. She has studied with a number of distinguished artists and instructors, including Ken Horvath of the Art Student League in Marblehead, landscapes with internationally recognized artists Elaine and Murray Wentworth, botanicals with Sarah Roache and sumi-e with Yukiko Iselin.

Linda has worked in a wide variety of media though, currently, she prefers pencil, pastel, pen and ink and watercolor. Her works, based in the classical traditions, include landscapes, portrait studies, classical studies and more. Many of these works have been accepted in shows and galleries in the United States and can be found in private collections in the U.S., Wales and Germany.

Recently, Linda has been awarded Second Prize for her work "Autumn Study" and the prize for Excellence in Watercolors for her work "Dogwood" at South Shore Art Center's juried Festival Show in Cohasset, Massachusetts.

Ms. Pierce is a member of the American Society of Botanical Artists and belongs to the North River Art Association and the South Shore Art Center.

Notes on the Works

Many of the works seen on this site, as well as others by Ms. Pierce, are professionaly mounted on acid-free, archival mats, protected by museum-quality, UV-blocking glass and are in high-quality frames made of exotic materials such as wood burls. These works would complement any collection and decor.
